March 2024 AFCEA Space Coast

Come join us for the  AFCEA Space Coast Pre-Launch Networking Event March 27th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Tides at Patrick  Space Force Base (SFB).

We have a very exciting official announcement to make!
 
AFCEA is a professional association based in Washington, D.C. and is an educationally oriented, non-profit, technical society. AFCEA members and constituents include professionals in the military, government, industry, and academia.

This event will feature special guest  Dave Grows who brings 37+ years of Government experience to bear in support of clients trying to navigate Government acquisitions, providing business development, business strategy development, and proposal support to those clients.  

Dave is a survivor of the Pentagon attack on 9/11/01, and his role in the Bradley Live Fire Test is represented in the book and film, “Pentagon Wars.”
 
Dave worked for the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Office of the Secretary of Defense running programs individually valued into the Billions of dollars.  He served as Source Selection Evaluation Board (SSEB) Chair on contracting actions from throughout the Government, including Army, Navy, Air Force, OSD, Dept of Interior, Washington Headquarters Services, Army Test and Evaluation Command, Army Contracting Command, DISA, and MDA.
 
Dave has also served as a Chief Engineer, Dean of a Test Director College, Senior Test Director, Resource Sponsor, Pentagon Staff Officer, and Program Manager.  He co-authored many of the DOD and Army acquisition regulations, and has a Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma. He developed and managed the Department of Defense Long Range Planning Program, and both automated and managed many requirements processes for the DOD.
 
In addition to running his own company, Dave teaches Government Acquisition through a series of classes at various locations, including the UCF Business Incubation Program where they are available free of charge.

Join the Space Coast Chapter for a special event on May 22 starting at 5 PM.Our guest speaker for the evening is Colonel Meredith S. Beg. Col Beg is the Vice Commander for Operations, Space Launch Delta 45, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida. As the vice commander, she leads a teamof 15,000 Space Force, Air Force, and contractor personnel in integrated launch and range operations. She oversees the operations and maintenance of $20 billion in instrumentation and infrastructure for the 15-million-square mile Eastern Range and supports launch and test customers with mission critical range technical and operational services. Furthermore, Colonel Beg leads integration of Space Launch Delta 45 efforts to innovate operations, technology, critical infrastructure, and policy to transform the Eastern Range into the Spaceport of the Future.Come be a part of this fun event and get a chance to join the organization, meet members, and learn how you can best support Space Launch Delta 45!We will also be raffling off a free membership to AFCEA, so please bring a friend with you this evening!
